Overview
Afterglow is a terminal-inspired UI system for shadcn projects, made by thebuilder. It ships 66 installable registry items built on Base UI, with monospace type, hairline borders, square corners, stepped motion and CRT effects. Components install through the shadcn CLI, so the source stays in the codebase.
The registry covers 45 redrawn shadcn primitives, nine terminal-specific components, six effects, two hooks, two blocks and a preset. One dark surface palette comes with eight phosphor themes: green, orange, yellow, cyan, blue, magenta, red and grey. The full system can be installed in one step with npx shadcn@latest init https://afterglow.thebuilder.dk/r/terminal.json.
