Overview
Ballmac UI is a React and Tailwind CSS component library focused on native-app motion and accessibility. The free, MIT-licensed tier includes 268 components across 15 categories, 137 blocks, 17 templates and twelve themes, and it is listed in the official shadcn registry directory. A paid Pro tier adds 150 more blocks, three starter apps and Figma tokens.
Components install with the shadcn CLI or through an AI agent using the shadcn MCP server. Ballmac also ships its own CLI: ballmac update merges new versions into edited files line by line, and ballmac check tests an app against the same quality bar the team used, loading all 572 items in light, dark, phone width and right-to-left.
Features
- Component categories: Desktop pieces such as docks, menu bars and app windows, plus AI interfaces, backgrounds, text effects, motion, device frames, developer tools and primitives.
- AI interface components: Chat layout, messages, streaming text, tool calls, reasoning, agent plans and an animated voice orb.
- Blocks and templates: Marketing, account, application, ecommerce and desktop app blocks, with templates such as an auth kit and a store admin.
- Built-in states: Loading, empty and error states, switched with one prop.
- RTL and keyboard support: Components are tested right to left and include keyboard interaction.
- Updates that keep edits: The CLI merges upstream changes and flags conflicts only where both sides changed a line.
- MCP ready: Follows the shadcn registry standard so agents can search and install items.
