Overview

Sharuco is an open-source platform for developers to share code snippets, build forms, manage links and turn code into shareable images. It is a full Next.js 16 application with Firebase for data and GitHub sign-in, Algolia for search and shadcn/ui on Tailwind CSS v4 for the interface.

As a template, Sharuco shows how to combine several content types (codes, forms and links) behind one dashboard, with public user profiles and community discovery pages. It is MIT licensed and deployed on Vercel.

Features

Sharuco Image: Turns any snippet into a screenshot using Shiki, with 14 built-in themes, 16 partner presets, line numbers, PNG download and clipboard copy, without sign-in.
Sharuco Code: Create, share and explore code snippets, with a Popular page for the most liked ones.
Sharuco Form: Build and publish forms, collect responses and manage collaborators from one screen.
Sharuco Link: Save useful links with automatic previews and share them publicly.
Profiles and dashboard: Public profile pages list a user's snippets, forms and links, and a dashboard manages all content.
Search: Full-text search across codes, users, forms and links with Algolia.
Auth and theming: GitHub sign-in through Firebase Authentication and a dark and light mode switcher.

Getting started

git clone https://github.com/ln-dev7/sharuco && cd sharuco
cp .env.example .env
npm install
npm run dev

The .env file needs Firebase, Algolia, link preview and reCAPTCHA keys.
