Overview

PersianLabs/ui is an open-source, RTL-first component library for Persian interfaces, built on Base UI and shadcn/ui by taymakz. Components are copied into the codebase through a shadcn registry, so teams own the code. Persian typography, offline fonts and Farsi digits are built in, and every component also supports LTR layouts.

The registry has more than 100 items: 86 UI components plus utility libraries and hooks. Alongside standard pieces such as buttons, dialogs and tables, it covers patterns specific to Iranian products, including Jalali dates, Iranian bank cards, national ID and postal code inputs, license plate input and an Iran map picker.

Features

• RTL-first components: Buttons, forms, menus, dialogs, drawers, sidebars, tables and carousels designed for right-to-left layouts.
• Jalali dates: Calendar, date picker, date wheel picker, time picker and Persian holiday data, built on date-fns-jalali.
• Local input patterns: Iranian mobile number, national ID, postal code, bank card and license plate inputs.
• Money and numbers: Price input, Toman icon and number-to-Persian-words conversion.
• Text utilities: Persian digit and text normalization, slug generation and reshaping helpers.
• Location picking: An Iran map picker and a city selector.
• Extras: Receipt printer, questionnaire, QR code, elastic sliders, and bounce and proximity sidebars.
