Airbnb Clone

Overview

Airbnb Clone is a full-stack web application by rahul4019 that recreates Airbnb's core flows on the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React and Node.js. Guests can search for accommodations, view listing details and book stays for specific dates, while hosts can create and manage their own listings.

The frontend lives in a client folder built with Vite, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui, and the backend is an Express API in an api folder. Authentication uses hashed passwords with JWT and cookies, plus Google sign-in, and listing images are stored on Cloudinary. The hosted demo on Netlify no longer resolves, so the repository is the main reference.

Getting started

git clone https://github.com/rahul4019/airbnb-clone.git

Run yarn install in both the client and api folders, add the .env values listed in the README, then start the frontend with yarn run dev and the API with yarn start.
