Overview
shadercn is a free, MIT-licensed collection of GPU shader components for React from shadcn-labs. Shaders run on WebGPU and are written with WGSL, built on Vercel's vgpu and TypeGPU, and distributed through a shadcn registry so each one installs as editable source with the shadcn CLI.
The current collection is 33 animated orb shaders, from a cut-glass orb with a dispersive interior and a plasma globe with crawling lightning to an ASCII glyph matrix, a voxel Earth and a raymarched galaxy. Every shader renders live in the docs, and a playground lets you tune it before copying. Props control uniforms, colors and speed, with typed props through TypeGPU. The registry also works with the shadcn MCP server, so coding agents can add shaders on request.
