Shadcn registry checker
See what any shadcn registry contains, and check it for setup problems. Enter a domain, or try one of the examples.
Try one:
How to use it
- Paste the URL of any site with a shadcn registry, such as
magicui.designor a link to one of its docs pages. The checker finds the registry file for you, looking in the standard places like/r/registry.json. A direct link to a registry.json file works too. - Press Check URL, or click one of the examples above to see what a result looks like.
- Read the result: the registry's name, how many items it has, a breakdown by type (components, blocks, hooks, themes and so on) and the full list of item names.
What it checks
- The registry has a top-level
name,homepageand$schema. - Every item has a
name, and no two items share one. - Component, block and hook items include
files, sonpx shadcn addhas something to install.
Warnings are worth fixing if you run the registry, but most don't stop the shadcn CLI from installing items. Building your own? Read how to build and publish a shadcn registry. Once you know the item names, the install command builder turns them into one npx shadcn add command.
