Elsecase

Overview

Elsecase is a shadcn-compatible registry for the production paths that appear after a clean mockup: failed requests, zero results, narrow screens, server conflicts, retries and recovery. Version 0.1 ships three installable workflows, each delivered as editable source through the shadcn CLI and MIT licensed.

The project treats loading, empty, error, offline and permission states as product requirements. Keyboard behavior, focus management, live-region announcements, reduced motion and automated axe checks are part of each component's contract, and the documentation includes interactive specimens running the real registry source.

• AsyncState: One boundary for initial loading, refreshing, empty data, request failure, offline, forbidden and success, with eight states and retry protection.
• ResponsiveDataExplorer: Local-data workflow with search, filters, sorting, selection, pagination, URL state restore, tables on desktop and cards on mobile.
• FormWorkflow: Single and multi-step forms with client validation, server conflict handling, focused error summaries, autosave recovery and unsaved-change warnings.
• Accessibility contract: Live regions, focus handling and axe checks are built in.
• No runtime dependency: Everything installs as source, so Elsecase never becomes a proprietary package.
