Overview
Kibo UI is a custom registry of composable, accessible and open-source components designed for use with shadcn/ui, created by Hayden Bleasel and now maintained under the shadcnblocks GitHub organization. Components use shadcn/ui CSS variables and work alongside the existing primitives. Where shadcn/ui mostly wraps Radix UI primitives, Kibo UI wraps more complex logic from various headless libraries to cover larger application needs.
The site lists 41 components, 28 blocks and over 1,100 patterns. Components install with the shadcn CLI or Kibo UI's own CLI (npx kibo-ui add), and there is an MCP server for use with AI tools. It is free and open source.
