Overview
GameKit UI is an open-source shadcn registry of 12 small, themeable browser games for React apps, intended for 404 pages, empty states and landing page easter eggs. Each game installs as a single file with the shadcn CLI, with no provider, no peer dependencies and no init step.
Games are 2 to 4 KB minified and gzipped (6 KB at most) and use no images, audio or fonts; everything is drawn with CSS or canvas. They read shadcn tokens at runtime, so changing --primary recolors the playfield, and the site lets visitors play each game with live theme swatches.
Features
- 12 games: Snake, Tic-Tac-Toe, 2048, Memory Match, Whack-a-Mole, Minesweeper, Pong, Breakout, Dino Runner, Flappy, Fruit Ninja and Stack.
- Zero dependencies: Each game is one self-contained file with no npm dependencies.
- Small bundle: Games can be lazy-loaded to stay out of the initial bundle.
- Theme-aware: Colors come from the project's shadcn CSS variables.
- Zero assets: No images, audio or fonts to ship.
- Accessible: Keyboard and touch controls, focus rings, aria-live announcements and reduced-motion support in every game.
- Canvas or DOM: Games are built on canvas or DOM depending on the game.
