Overview
Glassy UI for React Native brings 29 Glassy UI components to Expo apps on iOS, Android and the web. On iOS 26 the components use the system's own glass; Android and the web blur what sits behind them, with the web version running through React Native for Web.
Components install with the shadcn CLI under the @glassyui-native namespace, followed by npx expo install --fix to match packages to the Expo SDK. Shared controls keep the same names as the web Glassy UI components but use React Native props, such as onPress. App-only components add system pickers and touch gestures, while web-only effects such as the scene and lens stay on the web. The library is free, open source and MIT licensed.
Features
- Native glass on iOS 26: Surfaces are drawn by the system rather than imitated.
- Blur fallback: Android and the web blur the content behind each surface.
- Controls: Button, input, textarea, checkbox, radio group, switch, slider, segmented control and select.
- Overlays: Dialog, sheet, popover, menu and toast.
- App-only components: Picker, swipe row and card stack with touch gestures.
- Layout and feedback: Provider, surface, panel, card, tabs, accordion, dock, badge, progress, spinner, skeleton, alert and avatar.
- Interactive motion: Segmented bubbles that spring between options, checks that draw in and switch knobs that turn to glass while sliding.
