Jal-co UI

Overview

jal-co/ui is an open-source React component library by Justin Levine, focused on developer-facing UI: code blocks, GitHub widgets, documentation helpers and dev tools. Components are self-contained, have no extra dependencies, and are distributed through a shadcn-compatible registry for React, Next.js and Tailwind CSS.

The catalog lists 36 components grouped into Code, Docs, GitHub, Ecosystem, Dev Tools, Marketing, Infrastructure, Payments and Pretext categories. Several GitHub components are async server components that fetch data at build time with ISR caching. The same author also makes shieldcn, README badges in shadcn style.

• Code: Shiki-powered code block, tabbed CLI command block with package manager switching, single-line code snippet and a diff viewer with unified and split layouts.
• Docs helpers: AI copy button that opens content in v0, ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, API reference table, file tree, stepper, color palette and kbd keycaps.
