Makerkit

Overview

MakerKit is a paid SaaS starter kit for Next.js, aimed at teams building multi-tenant B2B products. It provides authentication, team accounts, billing and a super admin out of the box, with a choice of Supabase, Drizzle or Prisma for the data layer. The UI is built on shadcn/ui and Tailwind CSS v4.

The current kit is positioned as a base for AI coding agents: AGENTS.md rule files at the root and in each package, an MCP server for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Gemini, and strict TypeScript and lint checks keep generated code in the kit's patterns. The full source lives in the buyer's repository, and the kit is built and maintained by Giancarlo, who handles support directly.

Features

• Authentication: Password, magic link, passkeys, OAuth and multi-factor sign-in, with transactional emails written in React Email.
• Team accounts: Users switch between several teams or a personal account, with roles mapped to permissions checked in code and database policies.
• Billing: Flat, per-seat and metered subscriptions through Stripe Checkout or Polar, a customer portal and webhooks that keep plans in sync.
• Super admin: Impersonate or ban users and teams.
• Swappable providers: Billing, email (Resend or Nodemailer), CMS (Keystatic or WordPress) and monitoring (Sentry, PostHog or SigNoz) sit behind interfaces.
• Agent tooling: Per-package AGENTS.md rules and an MCP server with access to the database, components, translations and checks.
• Extras: Internationalization, Playwright E2E tests, a blog and help center, SEO metadata, plugins and a Figma UI kit.
