Mkdirs - Directory Boilerplate

Overview

Mkdirs is a Next.js boilerplate for launching directory websites, with listings, AI-assisted submissions, payments, authentication, a CMS, a blog, a newsletter, SEO and themes included. It is built by indie maker Fox, who also makes MkSaaS and TanStarter, and the project now publishes its source on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 license.

Content such as items, categories, tags, blog posts and users is managed in a built-in Sanity Studio, so the site states that no separate database or storage setup is needed. Directory owners can monetize through affiliate links, paid submissions and sponsored ad slots. The site shows two live directories built with it, IndieHub and BoilerplateHunt.
