Overview
seamui is a component library that follows shadcn's own-your-code distribution model, rebuilt on Base UI with a motion.dev "feel layer": spring animations, touch feedback on press, depth shadows and optional haptics. Its registry holds 77 UI components, 4 library files and a theme, plus 223 example variants.
Beyond the standard primitives, seamui has an agent-workbench tier for AI interfaces: chat, composer and response components, voice visualizers, agent status, branch chips, context meters, model pickers and permission cards, all in the same spring and squircle style. A seamui CLI init command scaffolds the theme tokens, depth shadows and foundation for Next.js, Vite or Remix projects on Tailwind CSS v4. Springs are tuned in lib/motion.ts, and a single provider adds click sounds and haptics.
Features
- Touch feedback: Controls recede on press and spring back, with a haptic tap on supported devices
- Overlay motion: Dialogs, drawers and popovers rise out of their trigger and fall back on dismiss with the backdrop in sync
- Base UI primitives: Combobox, number field, OTP field, preview card, toolbar, meter, data table, command palette and more
- Chat components: Message, conversation, composer, streaming response, code block, tool, sources, suggestions and typing indicator
- Voice UI: Voice visualizer, voice avatar, device selector, dictation card and a voice control bar
- Agent workbench: Agent status, plan card, terminal block, checks panel, connector cards, session items and workbench header
- App blocks: Auth, settings, team, billing and notifications blocks
