Overview
mcpcn is a free, MIT-licensed set of React components from Shadcn Labs for building MCP apps, the interactive UIs that run inside ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients. It works like shadcn/ui, with the same registry format and CLI, and components adapt to existing light and dark themes through semantic color tokens.
The registry has 33 items, mostly blocks for the kinds of screens MCP apps show: contact and issue-report forms, date-time pickers, order confirmation and payment screens, product and option lists, quick replies, progress steps, stat cards, social posts for X, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, chat conversations, map carousels and event listings with ticket selection. Components are built on Base UI, can optionally use scoped tokens aligned with OpenAI's Apps SDK UI, and include OpenUI integration guidance.
