Overview
starseam is a shadcn registry whose visual language comes from the Japanese star-riveted helmet (hoshi kabuto): surfaces are iron plates on a lacquer ground, and rivets appear only where two blocks really join. The registry holds 56 items, including a theme token layer, 54 UI components and a lib entry, and the docs site is available in Traditional Chinese, English and Japanese.
The system has two materials rather than a simple dark/light inversion: "console" (light under lacquer) and "report" (pigment on paper). There are no shadows, hierarchy comes only from fill depth or overlap, and color is reserved for severity and focus. Code highlighting uses ink shades only, and the theme ships per-language CJK font stacks.
